A Place We’ve Yet To See

My God made a place I’ve known all my life.
Though I’ve never seen it I know it in my mind.
With glittering roads and endless gold,
It hones beautiful diamonds stacked in rows.

I imagine strutting, my mouth agape,
Through those pearly, courtly gates.
My Savior stands there, bright and fair;
His white robe clean, wrinkles scarce.

His hands have holes, as does His side.
There are scars from the whip, gashes in lines.
Angels soar amongst the Light,
Tears are wiped before His sight.

We sing to God, loud and profound,
To Him, we make a joyful sound.
No crippled or broken roam the streets.
God healed them all; a mighty feat!

God is amidst our wondrous home,
Providing light to this place I know.
Believe, and God will welcome you inside,
A place we’ve yet to see but know in our minds.
