Our History and Purpose
Wade Christian Academy was founded in the late 1970s as a ministry of the First Baptist Church of South Brevard (now renamed First Baptist Church of Brevard). Our unique name comes from the last name of the founding pastor of that church, Reverend Dan Wade. His spiritual vision and desire were to have an affordable, conservative voice in education to combat the lack of Christ and morals being taught in the area’s secular schools. To that end, our tuition has consistently been among the lowest compared to other private and parochial schools. Our goal is best stated in Psalm 145:4, “One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.”
Our education and athletic programs minister to the whole person: spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). We desire that upon graduation from WCA, it may be said of our students that they have “increased in wisdom and stature and favour with God and man” (Luke 2:52).
