The Arts

"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."

Edgar Degas

Our Art (sketch and painting) classes will be taught by Mrs. Cook. There is a limited number of 25 students allowed for this course. A list of course materials are available, but not included.

Our digital photography class will be taught by Mrs. Sell. The $8 fee will cover the book that is needed for their class. Each student will need a digital camera or a smart phone with a good camera.

Drama will be offered to all students. This class will learn the fine art of acting. They will be able to participate in several skits and plays throughout the year. A limited availability of 30 students applies to this course.

Our Fine Art Choir will be taught by Mr. Castano. In this class they will use their voice for God's glory. They will have the opportunity to sing in duets, trios, and small and large ensembles.

Why the arts?

"Life without the collective resources of our libraries, museums, theatres and galleries, or without the personal expression of literature, music and art, would be static and sterile – no creative arguments about the past, no diverse and stimulating

present and no dreams of the future."

Arts Council of England (2014)

At WCA, we firmly believe that having a foundation in the world of arts is essential to a balanced education. As part of our commitment to that, we offer private music lessons, drama, choir, painting and digital art classes.
